Nothing to set up

If you've downloaded three trackers and abandoned all three inside a fortnight, you've probably concluded the common factor is you. It usually isn't. It's that every one of them asked for a week of setup before it gave you anything back.

What you do first

You log one thing. That's it — that's the onboarding. No goals to declare, no habit list to define on day one, no wizard asking who you intend to become before it will let you in.

It's a deliberate constraint rather than a corner cut: a feature that makes logging slower doesn't go on the default path. Everything else in the app waits behind that rule.

What happens after that, without you asking

The quick-add row rearranges itself around you

It's ordered by what you log often and logged recently — together. So your real life floats to the top and the thing you tried once in March sinks. There's no list to curate and nothing to tidy up on a Sunday. Logging gets quicker the longer you use it, which is the opposite of how this usually goes.

The entry field and the quick-add row beneath it, ordered by what's logged most and most recently.

Things you log a lot promote themselves

Keep logging the same label and it offers to become its own one-tap chip, with a target on it if you want one. You didn't set that up. It happened because you earned it, which is the only good reason for a feature to appear.

Help arrives next to the thing it's about

Not a tour on first launch that you tap through without reading. Tips, feature introductions and the occasional guided walkthrough turn up when the thing they're explaining is actually in front of you — and the walkthroughs advance when you do the step, not when you press Next.

And if you stop for a bit

Nothing breaks. Your index weights a repeat by how many times you've logged that thing recently, over a rolling two weeks — so a fortnight away doesn't cost you anything, and whatever you'd worn down by repeating is simply worth full value again. There are streak badges, and they track your best run, so a lapse never takes one away.

Coming back is opening it and logging something. There's no re-onboarding and nothing keeping score of how long you were gone. If the end-of-day review is switched on you may get one waiting for you — for the most recent day you didn't answer, and only that one. A week away doesn't earn you a week of them.

The honest version

We don't know whether this is the one you keep. Nobody selling you a tracker does, and the ones who sound certain are the ones to be suspicious of. What we can tell you is that you'll find out in about thirty seconds instead of after an evening of configuration — and that the thing it's built around is being worth opening on day three hundred, not just on day one.

The model page has the scoring in full if you'd rather judge it on that, and the FAQ covers what comes up most.

The beta

Request an invite

It's a small beta and invites go out in batches, so there's genuinely no timeline to quote. Tell us what you're hoping to keep an eye on and we'll be in touch.

Your email is used to send you an invite, and to reply if you asked something. It sits on our server — which is more than can be said for anything you do in the app. See the privacy policy. Not medical advice.
